Where The Fairies Live

Hi Everyone, as you will know my daughter moved out of home recently to start her teacher training course at Bedford Uni.  This toadstool house image is from the Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit Collection - many,  moons ago this was one of the first rubber stamps I purchased and has always remained a firm favourite coming out to play again and again.

I kept the card design simple with some embossed card and paper out of my ever increasing craft stash - The toadstool was coloured in a mix of Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils - hope you like it .....

Bewitching Season

Tis the time of miniature ghouls, ghosts and witches coming a knocking at the door - trading off their trickery for a handful of candy.

Loved this image, "The Perfect Pumpkin by" by Ching Chou Kuik.  Gave me chance to try colouring hair in unusual colourways, but that's another project hee hee!

Once more I have used my preferred medium at the moment of a mix of Promarkers and Prismacolour pencils.

Autumn's Memoirs

What sums up Autumn better than this image from Art by Miran - here in Yorkshire we have had a lovely sunny Autumn so far - the season of vibrant walks with the leaves crackling beneath our feet.

I have coloured this image with a combination of Promarkers and Prismacolours

Another September Birthday (and more to come...)

September is quite a month for birthdays in my family -  Our youngest daughter, Sally celebrated her 19th birthday.  It was her first away from home as she has just moved down to Bedford where she is about to start a Primary School Teaching course at the university there ... a bit of a bittersweet celebration, sadly no card on our family mantelpiece this year ....

I have used the Gypsy Flower image from Moonflower Digital Stamps - which was such a pleasure to colour with a mix of my Promarker and Prisma pencils.  If you haven't stumbled upon Moonflower Digistamps yet, then sadly you are missing out on some gorgeous images. There is a fab face book page with a monthly newsletter with a free digistamp - some great flash giveaways too!

The papers were from my crafty stash - I promise to make better note in future (slaps back of wrist..)  The Borderie Anglais and ribbon again has been in my scrap box for far too long and so glad I pulled it out for this project.

Ballerina Birthday

What better way to start the week (apart from finally getting around to joining the world of blogging) than celebrating my granddaughter, Lillie-Rose's 5th birthday - very much a ballerina princess.  What better image could I have picked than this lovely stamp, Dainty Dancer from Lilli of the Valley.
The image was coloured with a combination of Promarkers and Prismacolour pencils.
